The Complexion Vault provides a tool that may analyse a user-submitted selfie to estimate skin tone characteristics and provide foundation and complexion product recommendations or information.

The Service is provided for informational purposes only.

3. Eligibility / age requirement

You must be 16 or over to use the Service. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

4. Not medical advice / no guarantees

The Service does not provide medical, dermatological, or clinical advice. Recommendations are generated using data, colour science, and automated processes, and may not be accurate for every person, device, lighting condition, or product batch.

We do not guarantee that any recommendation will be a perfect match, suitable for your skin, or available to purchase.

5. Ingredients and allergies

Please check individual ingredient lists before purchasing or using any product, especially if you have allergies, sensitivities, or specific medical concerns.

For the most up-to-date INCI information, please check the ingredient list shown on the retailer's website before purchasing or using the product.

6. Automated use, scraping, and misuse

You must not access or use the Service through automated means (including bots, scrapers, scripts, or crawlers), or attempt to extract, copy, or reuse any part of the Service (including recommendations, product data, prompts, outputs, or results) at scale.

We may implement technical measures (including rate limiting and blocking) to prevent misuse. If we reasonably believe you are misusing the Service, we may suspend or terminate your access immediately.

7. Photos and content you upload

You may upload a selfie to use the Service. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process your uploaded content only to provide the Service.

8. Affiliate links and commissions

Some outbound links to retailers may be affiliate links. This means we may earn a commission if you click a link and make a purchase, at no additional cost to you (unless the retailer states otherwise).

Retailer websites are operated by third parties. We are not responsible for their products, availability, pricing, delivery, returns, or customer service.

9. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, branding, text, software, and underlying recommendation methodology, is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by intellectual property laws.

10. Availability and changes

We may update, change, suspend, or withdraw the Service (in whole or part) at any time. We do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, error-free, or uninterrupted.

11. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.

Subject to the above, to the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses caused by your reliance on recommendations, including shade mismatch, dissatisfaction with purchases, allergic reactions, or skin irritation.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with the Service will be limited to £100.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes, unless mandatory consumer law in your country of residence applies.
