When you upload your photo, our camera analysis and AI identify your skin tone while accounting for factors like pigmentation and lighting.

We then compare your measured skin tone with every foundation shade in the Vault. The colour difference is converted into a % match score, where a smaller difference means a higher match.

Your recommendations are based on colour science, not guesswork, popularity or crowdsourced opinions — giving you a more accurate, personalised shade match.
